The recent issue of US Weekly features Elton John with his new baby. The magazine has been discussed in entertainment circles around the world, but earlier today a different discussion took place after a grocery store in Arkansas apparently blocked the magazine cover from being seen in check-out stands.
Harps grocery store put what it calls a "Family shield" over the magazine to block the cover photo from view of passersby. The grey plastic cover simply says, "“Family Shield. To protect young Harps shoppers."
So what's on the cover? A picture of Elton John and his spouse, David Furnish, holding their new baby Zachary.

The photo of the blocked cover surfaced on Twitter after Jenn Hudd captured it in her local Harps store. Harps has stores in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri in the United States.
"This was taken at my local grocery store," she Tweeted. " I was shocked and horrified. It's over all the covers of that magazine (at every register). The other magazines aren't covered."
Upset by the censored cover, Hudd also tweeted the phone number to the store for anyone who wanted to complain.
"I love Arkansas," she said. "I hate to see this sort of thing happen here or anywhere." (digitaljournal.com. 26/1/2011)
