Building from the great work done by Pride House Vancouver and Whistler at the 2010 Winter Games, this will be the second Pride House to join the line-up of Olympic Houses and the first to be present at a Summer Games. The London Games are meant to be “Everyone’s 2012” which is one of the many inspirations behind the concept of Pride House.
The term “house” refers to a cultural pavilion where communities and visitors can come together to enjoy live music and entertainment, art, education programs, sporting competitions, food and drink and more. Pride House will be one of the many Olympic houses in London during the 2012 Games.
Pride House aims to build the foundation for a sustainable model for future international sporting events and Olympic Games. As a unique public venue with an exciting programme of events, Pride House is expected to attract more than 250,000 visitors over seventeen days.
VISION
Pride House was developed with a vision of uniting the global community through a common venue, bringing people together in the spirit of celebration.
