MADRID is boosting its security amid mounting fears that ISIS jihadis could
target the major World Pride celebration taking place on July 1.
The authorities are considering the possibility that police officers will
drive parade floats to avoid any acts of terrorism.

One 32-year-old jihadi suspect was described as being in an “advanced state
of radicalisation” and likened to terrorists behind recent attacks in the UK
and France.
Large vehicles will be banned from driving around the city centre and
rucksacks will be prohibited.

“This is a critical moment we are in,” anti-terror sources told El Pais who
are tracking the movements of suspects linked to jihadism.
The sources revealed that airport security checks at Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez
airport will be stepped up due to an increased flow of people passing through
the terminals.
