This
calendar explores same-sex affection throughout history.
All of these depictions are based on real people. Most of these historical figures are widely accepted to have been homosexual or bisexual. Some of them, such as Saints Sergius and Bacchus, are known for their unusual closeness, but scholars disagree on whether or not they were romantically involved. History isn't an exact science, and all too often truths are hidden or rewritten after the fact by people who wish to erase gay people from history.
This project wasn't about proving without a doubt whether or not a certain historical figure was gay; but rather exploring same-sex affection when enough evidence existed to at least consider it a reasonable possibility.

Η EA μαζί με την Zynga συζήτησαν σε συνέντευξή τους το θέμα της αντιμετώπισης των ομοφυλόφιλων στα video games, ειδικά μετά από τον ντόρο που έχει δημιουργηθεί στης Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής, και το περίφημο νομοσχέδιο «Προστασίας του Γάμου». Το Defense of Marriage Act, όπως λέγεται, σκοπεύει νομικά να θεσπίσει τον όρο «γάμος» έτσι ώστε να χρησιμοποιείται μόνο μεταξύ άνδρα και γυναίκας. Αρκετές εταιρίες έχουν ήδη ταχθεί υπέρ ή κατά του, αλλά η ΕΑ εμφανίζεται απογοητευμένη με το τι μπορεί να επιφέρει ένα τέτοιο νομοσχέδιο. Η υπεύθυνη του τομέα της παγκόσμιας διαφορετικότητας και ένταξης, Ginger Maseda, δήλωσε «Δεν υπάρχει κάποιο θέμα που να έχει τεθεί από τους επενδυτές, σχετικό με την υποστήριξη της κοινότητας των ομοφυλοφίλων, ή με την ύπαρξη ομοφυλόφιλων χαρακτήρων στους τίτλους μας».
Η εταιρία, πρόσφατα γιόρτασε τον Pride Month, δίνοντας την δυνατότητα για δημιουργία gay χαρακτήρων στο Star Wars: The Old Republic. Εμείς λέμε την άποψή μας δημόσια. Από εκεί και πέρα, ο κάθε επενδυτής έχει την επιλογή να στηρίξει την εταιρία ή όχι. Όσο είναι ξεκάθαρες οι προθέσεις μας σαν εταιρία, τότε και ο καθένας μπορεί να πάρει μια ξεκάθαρη απόφαση από οποιονδήποτε που θέλει να επενδύσει στην εταιρία».

Έχει τύχει να ακούσετε σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις να ρωτάει για πλάκα κάποιος ένα φίλο του που παίζει games "Είσαι "gamer" ή "gaymer";" Ε λοιπόν τα πράγματα σοβαρεύουν, καθώς η GaymerCon είναι γεγονός. Πρόκειται για την πρώτη LGBT έκθεση (σ.σ. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) η οποία απευθύνεται σε πιο..."φιλελεύθερους" fans των games και της τεχνολογιας.
Η GaymerCon θα ξεκινήσει για πρώτη φορά μέσα στο 2013 και η Electronic Arts θα δώσει το παρόν. Ναι, σωστά το καταλάβατε. Η EA έχει ταχθεί στο παρελθόν υπέρ των ομοφυλόφιλων, με τις gay και λεσβιακές σκηνές στις σειρές Mass Effect και Dragon Age να έχουν συζητηθεί (αμφότερα έχουν αναπτυχθεί απ' την BioWare που ανήκει στην EA). Τώρα αποδεικνύει και επίσημα την στήριξή της με την επίσημη παρουσία της στην GaymerCon. Δεν θα είναι μόνη της όμως, καθώς ήδη έχουν δηλώσει συμμετοχή η ομάδα του Xbox Live και το Penny Arcade.
Ο Ginger Maseda, Talent Acquisition και Inclusion Leader της EA, δήλωσε: "Η EA πιστεύει ότι για να έχουμε καινοτομίες δεν θα πρέπει να αποκλείουμε κανέναν. Είμαστε υπερήφανοι που λαμβάνουμε μέρος σε αυτό το event". Ο Jack DeVries, υπεύθυνος δημοσίων σχέσεων της GaymerCon πρόσθεσε: "Η EA δεν κάνει μόνο publish τα καλύτερα games παγκοσμίως, αλλά είναι και η πιο προοδευτική εταιρεία στη βιομηχανία. Είμαστε ενθουσιασμένοι και είναι τιμή μας να τους έχουμε στην GaymerCon".
Σύμφωνα με επίσημα στοιχεία, το 4% του πληθυσμού των αντρών της γης είναι gay και το 2% των γυναικών λεσβίες. Η EA έχει αποφασίσει να απευθυνθεί ανοιχτά και στο συγκεκριμένο κοινό. Άραγε αυτό θα την ωφελήσει ή θα την ζημιώσει; Θυμίζουμε πάντως ότι για το 2011 ψηφίστηκε στην Αμερική ως η χειρότερη εταιρεία παγκοσμίως.

French graphic artists Michel Dufranne and Milorad Vicanovic-Maza with Christian Lerolle have produced the first comic book about the gay experience of the Holocaust.
It tells the story of "discreet, cheerful and romantic" designer and advertising art teacher, Andreas from the early 1930s in Berlin.
Life then is OK if you are gay - but the "brown plague" gradually invades the streets, and the city's institutions. Laws are enacted. Andreas experiences violence. He is sent to prison, then a concentration camp.
Surviving the abuse, post-war does not bring more rest. Taken prisoner again, a new fight begins for his rehabilitation. This fight, which seems lost in advance, will be won by betraying his identity. Like many other gays, he disguises his history, saying he was a "red triangle" (political prisoner). He marries a lesbian and together they raise the child she was forced to have with a Nazi officer.
The pink triangle ('Triangle rose') was the symbol in the Nazi concentration camps used to mark gay men. The deportation of homosexuals by the Nazis was part of a logic of repression of "undesirables" (antisocial, criminal, etc.). [...]
The last known survivor of the deportations was Rudolf Brazda, who was sent to Buchenwald for almost three years. He died this year at the age of 98 years.
The anti-gay Paragraph 175 law was finally amended in West Germany in 1969, and homosexuality ceased to be a reason for imprisonment, it was finally repealed in 1994 in the reunited Germany.
