Two imperial stormtroopers who live a peculiar love story in the Death Star. This is the initial approach of the gay short film ‘Love Wars’. Popular Spanish actors such as Jordi Sanchez (featuring as Antonio Recio in the series ‘La que se avecina’) and Ivan Jara (the Spanish dubber of characters as Dexter, Howard Wolowitz from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ or David Fisher from ‘Six Feet Under’). This short film takes part in the 10th edition of this year’s Jameson Notodofilmfest, whose judges are famous directors as Javier Fesser, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo or Jaume Balaguero.
By means of the ‘Star Wars’ universe, ‘Love Wars’ is a criticism (with a humorous tone) of current social topics, such as the 2011 Spanish Revolution or homosexuality. The director, Vicente Bonet, was awarded in the 7th edition of Notodofilmfest in the gay short film ‘A cuestas con mis padres’ (Nowhere without with my parents) and he has taken part in the subsequent editions in ‘GRP’ and ‘Macarrones’ (Maccaroni).
This short film’s technical team is composed of Fiana Marin (scriptwriter and production support), Hector Alabadi (production and editing), Roberto Perez (music), Guillem Oliver (director of photography, camera and post production), Juan Bas (3D and special effects) and Carlos Penelo (sound), among others.
