MY HUSTLER. ΜΙΑ ΤΑΙΝΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΑΝΤΙ ΓΟΥΟΡΧΟΛ

1965: ANDY WARHOL FILMS MY HUSTLER.
Warhol and entourage shot MY HUSTLER on Fire Island -
a film which, according to David Bourdon, cost only $500 to make.

A handsome young male prostitute lies on the beach while a rich older man, who "ordered" him from a call service, stares at him from a beach house accompanied by a rich girl and an older hustler. The camera pans from the beach house to the beach and remains fixed on the young hustler while the three gazers speak of him.
The young hustler and the older one look in the mirror, shave, comb their hair, put on cologne, talc, and lotion while discussing their trade (male prostitution) in a masculine tone. The older hustler speaks of the good life that can be made in the business, trying to convince the young one to remain hustler. The young one is not sure; he might just choose to move in with the rich man. No sexual remarks are made, but the scene is charged with overwhelming sexual energy.
