President Boris Tadić received on Thursday a delegation of gay and lesbian organizations, and expressed his support for the Pride Parade to be held in Belgrade.
The activists talked with Tadić about the social position of LGBT people and acquainted the president with the difficulties they face in everyday life, including receiving threats on daily basis.
Activists informed the Serbian president about everything the LGBT movement has done in recent years to increase the visibility of problems these communities face daily.
It was concluded that the holding of Pride Parade will represent a civilizational step forward showing that Serbia is becoming a safe society for all its citizens, regardless of their differences and sexual orientation.
