Ο ΛΕΟΝΑΡΝΤΟ ΝΤΙ ΚΑΠΡΙΟ ΘΑ ΕΡΜΗΝΕΥΣΕΙ ΤΟΝ ΕΝΤΓΚΑΡ ΧΟΥΒΕΡ ΣΤΗΝ ΤΑΙΝΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΚΛΙΝΤ ΙΣΤΓΟΥΝΤ

Έχει περάσει αρκετός καιρός απ’ την μέρα που κυκλοφόρησε στον κινηματογραφικό κόσμο η πρώτη φήμη σχετικά με την πιθανή συνεργασία του Λεονάρντο ΝτιΚάπριο με τον Κλιντ Ιστγουντ για την μεταφορά της ζωής του Τζέι Εντγκαρ Χούβερ στην μεγάλη οθόνη. Τελικά η φήμη επιβεβαιώθηκε και ο Ντι Κάπριο θα πρωταγωνιστήσει στο πορτρέτο που θα γυριστεί για τον πρώτο και επί 37 συναπτά έτη μοναδικό διευθυντή του F.B.I.
Το σενάριο έχει αναλάβει ο γνωστός απ’ την δουλειά του στο "Milk" Ντάστιν Λανς Μπλακ αλλά κανείς δεν γνωρίζει την κατεύθυνση την οποία θα πάρει τελικά η πλοκή. Ο Χούβερ πάντως, για την ιστορία, θεωρείται ο θεμελιωτής της υπηρεσίας καθώς είναι αυτός που εγκαθίδρυσε την τράπεζα αποτυπωμάτων και κατάφερε να εντοπίσει μυθικούς αμερικανούς εγκληματίες της δεκαετίας του 1930 όπως οι Μπόνι και Κλάιντ, Τζον Ντίλιντζερ και Machine Gun Κέλι.
Η Warner Bros. θα βρίσκεται πίσω απ΄ την χρηματοδότηση της νέας σκηνοθετικής απόπειρας του αειθαλούς Ιστγουντ, τα γυρίσματα θα ξεκινήσουν αργότερα μέσα στη χρονιά και το φιλμ θα είναι έτοιμο προς κυκλοφορία μέσα στο 2011. (e-go.gr)

Leonardo DiCaprio Won't Cross-Dress in J. Edgar Hoover Biopic
During the "Inception" press junket, Leonardo Dicaprio confirmed that he is in talks to star in a biopic about controversial FBI director J Edgar Hoover. The film is to be directed by Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino).
"I am talking to Clint Eastwood about playing J. Edgar Hoover who had his hand in some of the most scandalous moments in American history," he said. "Everything from Dillinger to Martin Luther King and JFK. It's about the secret life of J. Edgar Hoover."
DiCaprio was then asked if he will wear a dress in the film, since Hoover has been rumored to cross-dress in the 1950s at homosexual orgies. That has already been debunked, but is still a huge part of Hoover's background.
"We haven't done the fitting for [dresses]," the actor replied. "So I don't think so."
Hoover founded the organization in 1935 and made it what it is today — an efficient crime-fighting organization — in part by harassing dissenters and building secret files on politicians. He is most often associated with his role in fighting the gangster wars in the '30s and, later, the Mafia. Hoover remained FBI director until his death in 1972. (WorstPreviews.com)
