Q: How did you come up with the idea for your film?
John: I wanted to make a rude, funny, dark, light film about voyeurism and public sex.
Q: What do you hope to convey through your film?
John: A sense of adventure mixed with delight (in that the central character never really does what you expect him to.)
Q: Who are your favorite filmmakers/what are a few of your favorite films and why?
John: Gus Van Sant, Alfred Hitchcock, Derek Jarman. Some of my favorite films are Psycho, Rear Window, Happy Together, Gods and Monsters and Donnie Darko.
Q: Anything else you'd like to provide on your film?
John: Sweat is the middle part to a trilogy of shorts that we are hoping to join with a linking story and releases a feature film called (not surprisingly) Blood Sweat and Tears and all that lies in-between. Blood is finished but Tears has just gone into pre-production, It's the complicated story of a man who looses his married lover in a bike accident. Aiming to finish it 2010
